New funding opportunities in Europe

If you would like to join a project led by another organisation or if you are looking for European partners to submit a project, then contact the Enterprise Europe team as we can promote and look out for R&D funding partner searches published by the Network. More information about this service is on our new website.

New dedicated funding round for research-intensive SMEs
A new funding round for the SME friendly Eurostars scheme is now open. Eurostars takes a ‘bottom-up' approach to project generation. Projects can address any technological area and should be aimed at the development of a new product, process or service.

Eurostars is the first European funding and support programme open to all sectors to be specifically dedicated for innovative intensive and research performing SMEs.

For further information on eligibility, please contact the Enterprise Europe Network team or check the website from the Technology Strategy Board (TSB): http://www.innovateuk.org/deliveringinnovation/internationalprogramme/eurekaeurostars.ashx

NHS East of England’s Regional Innovation Fund
Between 29 January and 29 March, NHS East of England’s Regional Innovation Fund is open to applicants with proposals for the adoption and spread of innovation to help improve the lives of those with long term health conditions.

With emphasis on providing care in the home or closer to home and a focus on prevention, personalisation and supported self care, applicants can apply for funding from £50,000 up to a maximum of £300,000.

The Regional Innovation Fund is open to applications from individual staff or teams in any NHS organisation within the east of England, or an east of England NHS organisation as a whole. The partnering with third sector organisations, local government, private health care, education and industry is welcomed as long as the NHS organisation is the lead applicant.

Further information can be found on: http://www.hee.org.uk/index.php/Latest/regional-innovation-fund-200910.html  or please contact the Enterprise Europe Network team.

Calling all low carbon innovators
The East of England Development Agency (EEDA) is searching for the next 'big thing' in low carbon technologies. East of England businesses needing a cash boost for a research and development project in 2010 can take advantage of the new £5.5 million Grant for Research and Development funding.
